Curriculum

Whole Child Wellness:

All our children will be socially, emotionally, multilingually, academically, technically, and physically developed. They will grow a sense of self and a sense of belonging, empathy, and emotional resilience. They will also develop positive relationships with their peers and adults.

Academic Excellence:

Our children will be inquirers and investigators who think critically, challenge assumptions, and problem-solve. They will master rigorous academic content aligned to the Common Core State Standards.

Social Justice:

Our children will pursue social justice as anti-racists – using their voices to disrupt inequity, create new narratives based in justice, and advocate for themselves and others.

Globally competent bilingualism:

Our children will leave Legend International School as globally competent bilinguals (and possibly multilingual) who speak English, German, French, Arabic, Bangla and Chinese four of the most widely spoken languages in the world. Global citizens understand and are aware of their place in the wider world. In addition to actively participating in their community, they work with others to make our planet more just, sustainable, and equitable. These pillars would be supported by a challenging and engaging curriculum aligned with the school’s mission and vision and by providing students with opportunities to engage in hands-on learning
